An approach designed
for men, tailored to you.

Your life is perfectly engineered to give you exactly the results you've been getting.

Therapy doesn't mean you're broken, because you aren't.

The system just isn't working.

Real men aren't caricatures, but they're often depicted that way.

The lovable goof that makes silly decisions.

The burnt out father who checks out at night.

The husband who tries to solve his partner's problems without actually listening.

The list goes on and on. The problem isn't men.
It's the system.

A Systems Approach

The good news is: systems can be learned, understood, and reworked for better functioning.

When a car breaks down, we go to mechanics.

When we break bones, we see doctors (or at least, you know, we should).

We accept that we operate systems other people understand.

Therapy is no different.

As therapists, we are trained to understand mental, emotional, and relational systems.

Going to therapy isn't a failure and it isn't weakness.

It's practical.

How it Works

Whether we talk in the office, on a trail, or at the links - our focus is on learning your system.

That includes both what works and what doesn't.

We are all a complex interaction of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

These interactions form the foundation of our system.

As we work together, the goal is simple: build a system that works for you.

The work we do together is built on three simple pillars: strength, endurance, and formation.

The Three Pillars

Strength

We identify and build on your strengths. As you build a new system, your strengths allow you to pursue what's meaningful to you through the challenges you face.

Endurance

Typically, it takes longer to fix a system than it took to break it. We work together to build a set of tools which help you endure the process of change.

Formation

We are always being shaped - often subtly, by forces around us, not always in alignment with our values. Together, we build a vision of who you want to become, to guide your formation with purpose and intentionality.

Services and fees. Accessible by design.

Individual Therapy $125 per session
Couples Therapy $150 per session

Financial hardship shouldn't be a barrier.

Being accessible doesn't matter if you can't afford it.

A sliding scale is available to help, just let me know when you reach out and we will work together to find a solution that works for you.

A note on insurance: At this time, Albatross Counseling is a private practice that is self-pay only, though I can provide a superbill if you want to request insurance reimbursements.
